Whether you're planning to give birth at home or in a hospital, it’s my goal to help you to be as prepared as possible for your birth experience.
I run evidence based Hypnobirthing courses in Dublin and online that consist of a complete in-dept antenatal education and birth preparation programme designed to help you relax, release fear and build confidence.
I also offer bodywork sessions to release tension and re-align the structure of your body. This supports your comfort during pregnancy and ensures your baby is given optimal space to move into their best position possible for birth.
Hi I'm Lindsay, I'm a hypnobirthing teacher and bodywork therapist based in Dublin.
My journey to supporting women in pregnancy began after I gave birth for the second time.
During my first pregnancy I had planned to have a natural birth, so I wrote down my preferences, went with the flow, kept an open mind and trusted the hospital team to respect my wishes and to do what was best for myself and my baby. Unfortunately, handing over my power like that didn't get me the birth I wanted, and I came away from the experience shocked, disempowered and feeling like I couldn't give birth without help.
Fast forward a few years to my second pregnancy. I was feeling determined to get the birth I knew I was capable of. I spent time learning about my choices and rights, getting informed and getting my mind and body prepared. I hired a private midwife and planned to give birth to my daughter in the safest place I knew - my home. As a result of taking full responsibility, I had an empowering experience that was healing and life changing.
These experiences have pushed me onto the path of wanting to support other women who too want to take full responsibility for their birth experiences and so here I am.

Hypnobirthing is often viewed as just a pain management technique used by pregnant people who are a bit 'out there' but this couldn't be further from the truth. Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal education and training programme designed for any pregnant couple and is centred on releasing fear and building confidence in a simple, logical and practical way.
Hypnobirthing guides you toward trusting your instincts and your body's ability to give birth. It is not just an approach to giving birth using relaxations, visualisations and breathing techniques, but also a full antenatal programme that covers choices, rights and birth plans giving you confidence and knowledge. Hypnobirthing empowers you to take control regardless of the kind of birth you have.
The ''Hypno'' in Hypnobirthing represents the techniques we use from Hypnotherapy. We use these techniques to:
Learn how to get into a deep state of relaxation. This is the state your body likes to be in when you're in labour. This is not the same as stage hypnosis where we see people doing silly or embarrassing things out of their control.
Release fear and build confidence. This is done in preparation for birth to release the fears you have about labour and birth, and to build confidence in your body's ability to give birth.
Are you ready to let go of fear and power into birth feeling confident and excited?
This KG Hypnobirthing course is written by Katharine Graves and delivered by me, qualified KG Hypnobirthing teacher, Lindsay Cleary. The course will provide you with an in-dept antenatal education in a small group setting.
This course is for you if you are ready to empower yourself with knowledge, build trust in your body and let go of feeling unsure or worried about how you will give birth to your baby. Hypnobirthing will help you to embrace choice and get clear about what's right for you. Courses are run in a relaxed setting and your birth partner is encouraged to join us.

In-person courses take place in a beautiful intimate family run space on the outskirts of Dublin City Centre and places are limited to 3 couples per course. The small group allows me to ensure maximum space plus question and answer opportunities to ensure each of your learning needs are met. Courses are also a great way to meet other pregnant couples.
Online courses take place on Zoom.
The KG Hypnobirthing Course is an investment of 12 hours split across 4 sessions and €250 EUR per couple. I can also work with you privately if you prefer, please contact me for further details.
I recommend attending the course during your second trimester or early third trimester, somewhere between 25 and 35 weeks of pregnancy. However, education at any stage of pregnancy is a great idea and if you would like to take the course you are more than welcome.
+ Where is the course held?
The in-person course runs in a beautiful intimate family run space in the Dublin 10 area. The online course takes place on Zoom.
+ Should my birth partner attend the course?
YES! Having a birth partner who is informed and confident in their role is so important.
+ Is this course suitable if I want a VBAC?
Yes, however this is not a specific VBAC course but it can help you prepare for and support your birth goal of VBAC by teaching you about the role of hormones in labour and birth, the ways in which your birth environment impacts the processes of labour, the benefits of movement in labour plus so much more.

A treatment designed to release tension and restore balance within.
I believe a baby's position in the uterus and the level of comfort a mother feels in pregnancy is influenced by the structure of the mother's body so I begin each session with an assessment of your alignment. Then, using techniques that are safe, gentle and non-invasive, I work to regain balance, encourage deep relaxation and create space within the body.
You may benefit from this type of work if you are anxious, want to relax, are suffering with discomfort or pain, your baby isn't yet in the most "usual" position for birth, you would like to optimise your body's ability to go into spontaneous labour, you would like a vaginal birth, or you would like to encourage ease of labour, birth and recovery.
Upgrade your bodywork session to include comfort measures and techniques for optimal birth.
In this session I will introduce you to activities, comfort measures and techniques that you can use at home to prepare your body for optimal birth. By regularly balancing your pelvis and releasing tension and/or twists in the ligaments attached to your uterus you will be facilitating more comfort for yourself and more room for your baby to move into their best position possible for birth.
Length 1.5 hours
Your partner is invited to attend this section of the session with you as some of the techniques I will show you need a support person for use at home.
Upgrade sessions include a full body balancing session, an understanding of the passageway your baby needs to navigate at birth as well as the activities, comfort measures and techniques mentioned above.
